Cirque Du Soleil will return to Malaga from December 11-18, 2002 with a unique ice show, Crystal, which will tour again after two years and stop at the Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena.
Mike Newquist, senior vice president of the Touring Shows division, has noted that they are “absolutely thrilled to finally bring Crystal back on the road.” “For the past two years, our artists have been looking forward to returning to skate and experience the joy of the audience once again. It will be a magical and emotional return,” he has maintained.
Crystal invites you to step out of reality and glide into a world that comes to colorful life with stunning visual projections and an original soundtrack that seamlessly blends popular music with Cirque du Soleil’s signature sound.
Watch world-class ice skaters and acrobats take over their new icy playground with speed and fluidity as they defy the laws of gravity with never-before-seen acrobatics. Follow Crystal, the title character, on a thrilling tale of self-discovery as she plunges into a world of her own imagination.
Crystal is Cirque du Soleil’s 42nd creation and explores the artistic possibilities of ice for the first time. This unique production challenges the limits of performance by combining breathtaking skating and acrobatic feats that challenge the imagination, they said in a statement.
It features an international cast comprised of extreme and freestyle ice skaters, acrobats, musicians and a comedic character. Eleven different nationalities are represented in the cast. Tickets go on sale on December 17, and on pre-sale from this Wednesday.
